Sarah DOGHERTY was convicted at Chester on 4 Aug 1838 for stealing money from a woman. 10 yr transportation sentence. Sent to Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania) per the 'Majestic' arriving 21 Jan 1839. Married woman - husband Patrick, at native place. One child. Some records of misconduct. 1843: Muster at Hamilton, Tasmania. Died at the Female Factory, Cascades, Hobart. Memo 26 March 1845.
