Please note there are two Mary Donnolly's on this voyage of the 'Blackfriar' 1851. Mary Donnolly (1st listed) was convicted at Louth, Ireland on 08/04/1850 for Larceny. Two previous convictions. 7yr sentence. Transported to Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania) on the 'Blackfriar', arriving 29/05/1851. Aged 22yrs; country servant; single; 4'11"; single. Native Place: Co. Louth Assignments of service in the Colony including New Town Farm and Hobart. 12/01/1852: Disorderly - 3mths hard labour. 03/01/1853: 2mths hard labour 27/06/1854: Ticket of Leave approved Permission to marry John Cunningham approved, but no record of it proceeding. 31/05/1855: Absent - 1mth hard labour 1/07/1857: without a pass - 3mths hard labour 05/07/1857: Died at the Lunatic Asylum, New Norfolk, VDL.
