One of two Catherine Donovan's on the Lord Auckland (3). This one, police no. 632. Her Conduct Record as "Donovan, Catherine (2)". Trial date 17 May 1848 Cork City, Ireland. "Stealing two shirts Pro Mr Bryan Co Cork" Once convicted before - stealing a gown, 6 months. Gaol report good; surgeon's report very good. 23 February 1852 note on Conduct Record that she Married Peter Connelly (per Hydrabad 2). ToL 25 May 1852; Cert Free 17 May 1855. Born about 1828. Age 20, single, and could neither read nor write at conviction. Father: Timothy; Brother: Lawerence; Sisters: Ellen, Margaret (in America)
