Fanton Doolan, who was sentenced at Maryboro’ Sessions, to 7 years transportation, for a violent assault on Benjamin Yeates, near Mountrath, was, last week, transmitted to the Hulk Essex at Kingstown. The sadden removal of this man from the country was intended as a warning to the rest of those bloodthirsty individuals, who, by their savage barbarity, are endeavouring to carry the reign of terror throughout the country, but, who will, like this unfortunate man, ultimately find the laws too strong for them. Kerry Evening Post, 12 Nov 1831.
