Irish Convict Database by Peter Mayberry. James Doolan, age on arrival, 18, Bencoolen, 1819. Tried 1819 at Dublin City, 7 years. DOB 1801, Native place, Wicklow Co. Trade, Plasterer apprentice. ---------------------------------------------------- On Monday last sailed for Hobart Town, the ship, Admiral Cockburn, Captain Briggs. She conveys to that settlement 130 male prisoners, which were transhipped from the Bencoolen, under guard of a party of the 48th, commanded by Lieutenant O'Brien.
