John Dowd was 17 years old when indicted for stealing 3 shirts. John had grey eyes, light borwn hair, 5'3 1/2" tall, small scar over right eyebrow, scar on left cheekbone. His father was a fiddler and with his mother, they lived at St. Ann Street, Westminster. 23/12/1826: John was found guilty of another burglary and was sentenced to death, this was requited and he was sent per Woodford, by way of Sydney, to hard labour in Norfold Island. 13/4/1833: John died at Norfolk Island, aged 29.
