John Dowdell, for manslaughter; seven years. ... Vindicator, 20 July 1842. Manslaughter ... Dowdell, for the murder of Henry Smith, at Portgienone, on the ? March last, and James M'Peak, for aiding. Dowdel pleaded guilty of manslaughter, but not of murder. M'Peak pleaded guilty of riot, and of aiding in the assault  11. Smith. Henry M’Mullun was so indicted for a riot the same time and place, and assault ... Newry Examiner, 20 July 1842.
