Born in Colyton, Devon, parents Robert Drew(e) and Elizabeth Quicke. Possible 1st marriage: BANNS OF MARRIAGE published in the Parish Church of St Marylebone in the year 1828 page 290 No 870 Between John Leighton drewe of this Parish batchelor and Mary lackington of this parish spinster were published, on Sunday 21 December, on Sunday 28 December, on Sunday 4 January 1829. Married in Sydney 1837: Marriages solemnized in the Parish of St Philip's Sydney, County of Cumberland NSW in the Year 1837 Page 44 1359 No. 177 John Leighton Drew of the Parish of Banksia, Batchelor and Elizabeth Elivina Knock of this parish, Spinster, were married in this church by Banns with the consent of the government on this tenth day of April in the year 1837.
