MARY DRISCOLL, Theft > simple larceny, 6th September 1832. 1964. MARY DRISCOLL was indicted for stealing, on the 14th of July , 2 gowns, value 18s., and 1 shawl, value 2s. , the goods of Eliza Patmore . ELIZA PATMORE. I am single , and lodge in Queen-street, Seven-dials . On the 14th of July the prisoner left that house; she had lodged there for a fortnight -I missed two gowns, a cap, and a shawl; I found the prisoner in custody. ROBERT WILSON MEAGLE . I am shopman to a pawnbroker in Tottenham-court-road. I produce a gown and cap, pawned with me - I do not know by whom. WILLIAM WILSON . (Police-constable E 74.) I took the prisoner on the 16th of July; she told me she lodged in Church-street - I went there, and asked which was her room - the people of the house told me, and I found the duplicates there - the prisoner said she had made away with them, but she would restore them again. R. W. MEAGLE. These are the duplicates I gave, in the names of Margaret Flynn and Ann Richardson.(Property produced and sworn to.) Prisoner's Defence. What the Policeman says is quite false; I got a drop of liquor, and do not remember what I did, but I did not say what he states. GUILTY . Aged 21 - Transported for Seven Years .
