COUNTY CRIMINAL COURT Ellen Connor and Mary Driscoll were indicted for stealing a watch and sundry articles of wearing apparel, from Michael Noonan, at Mallow, on the night of Thursday, the 11h inst. It appeared from the evidence of the prosecutor, a respectable looking man, that having been in Mallow on the evening the day laid in the indictment, in a state of great intoxication, be found himself about 4 o'clock on the next morning the upper end of Mallow, robbed of his watch, cravat, pen-knike and some tenpennies; and he did not know or see the prisoners, until the following Saturday, when they were pointed out to him in the Bridewell of that town. Judith ?uod, accomplice and approver, deposed that the prisoner Ellen Connor, sold the watch to Jeremiah Lynch, the owner of a public house in Cork, for 9s. 9d., 1s. 1d. which was given to the witness. The watch and neckerchief were now produced, and identified by Mr. Noonan, as his property. Both the prisoners were found Guilty, and sentenced to seven years’ transportation.
