The guard consists of Captain Bull (with Mrs. Bull, 4 children, and 1 female servant), and 30 rank and file of the 99th Regt., - 4 women, and 6 children. Colonial Times (Hobart) 25 Oct 1842.

Surgeon’s Journal of Her Majesty’s Female Convict Ship Kinnear, Mr J. G. Williams, Surgeon Between the 2nd May and 14th October 1848. Adm. 101-040-06 Anne Duane æt. 26. Convict was put on the sick list at sea 16th Augt. And discharged the 27th Augt. 1848. Catarrhus. This woman complains of a severe pain just below the left breast, with rheumatic pains in the head and neck, cold shivering, cough, soreness of the fauces and trachea, increased secretion of mucus from the mucus membrane of the nose, fauces and bronchi. and there is evidently a severe pulmonary catarrh, bowels confined, with loss of appetite and considerable pyrexia. Rx. Pul. Rhei gr x Mag. Sulphat. Zfs Aq. Menth. pip. Zij fiat Haust. statim sumendus A Blister was also applied below the left breast. Rx. Pul. Ipecac. comp. gr x Mist. Camphor. Zifs Tinct. Digitalis gtte x fiat Haust. hora somni capiendus. 17th Passed a restless night, blister risen, no pain in the side on taking a deep inspiration, bowels open, cough and pains in the head and neck [no?] near so much. Ordered Arrowroot etc. 18th Passed a good night, and slept well, blister dressed, pain of side entirely gone skin cool, pulse good, tongue clean, bowels open, and appetite returning. 19th Rheumatic pains of head and neck nearly gone, cough not so troublesome. Rx Mist. Ammoniaci Zvj Pul. Ipeca. Comp zj Tinct. Opii - Zj Mft Mist. Cochleare modicum urgente tussi sumendus 20th Catarrhal complaint much better, Rep. Medicament ut heri Rx. Pul. Ipecac. Comp. gr x Mist. Camphoræ Zifs Tinct. Opii gttæ xxv fiat Haust. hora somni sumendus 21st Passed a good night, very little cough no pain of breast or neck. Ordered preserved meat soup. Rep. Medicament: ut heri 22nd Slept well all night, and is free from every unpleasant symptom this morning. Ordered the same nourishment as yesterday. also Rep.Medicament. 23rd Passed a good night, and is convalescent this morning from this day she rapidly recovered her health and strength. and was discharged as above. -------------------------------------------------- Conduct Report. https://stors.tas.gov.au/CON41-1-19$init=CON41-1-19p34 Ann Duane. Age 21. Served 6 months probation on Anson. March 30 1850. Neglect of duty, 1 month hard labour. 5/4/50. Fac Hobart. Not allowed to enter service in Hobarton. T. of L 10/2/52. Revoked 5/7/53. Sep 21/1852, Recommd. For a C.P. Sep 22/1852. Supposed to have left the Colony per “John Bull” for Melbourne. --------------------------------------------------- Note: There is some discrepency in the records regarding Ann's age, the Conduct Record states she is 21, and the Surgeon's record gives her age as 26.
