The Assizes for the county of Dorset will commence Thursday next. The following are the names of the prisoners for trial:—… Wm. and John Duck, for horse stealing; ... Salisbury and Winchester Journal, 8 March 1819. DORCHESTER, March 19.—Our Assizes terminated Monday morning last ; … Dorchester, there were prisoners on the calendar, whom the following received the sentence of death :— … Smith and John Dock, for stealing black mare, the property of some person persons unknown; … all of whom were, however, reprieved before the left town, except George Barratt, who remains for execution.   Hampshire Chronicle, 22 March 1819  left Dorchester on Saturday afternoon: — … Wm.
