Convict Notes

In November 1844 at the High Court of Justiciary, Janes McKenzie, Agnes Marshall, Alexander Duff and Alexander Hogg were convicted of assault & robbery - 'on a male from Northumberland in an eating house in Hyndford Close off the High Street and stealing £1/19/- and the four received transportation for 14 years - see Scotsman newspaper 9 November 1844 p 3 on 'High Court of Justiciary'. However there is no trace on Convict Records of Alexander Hogg being transported, and the delay in transported Duff is not explained.
