CITY SESSIONS COURT— Thursday. Dec. 16. (BEFORE THE RECORDER-) Patrick Duggan was indicted for stealing piece of linen from the shop of Mr. Delant. of Daunt's Square. The proof was clearly established and  the prisoner was found Guilty. His Worship the Recorder put several questions to the prisoner relative to his mode  of life. At, which he answered with degree of openness and ... which shewed him to be quite at home in his present  situation. The following is a specimen: Recorder —What are you ? Nothing. Where have you been ? Every where    Where did yon come from last? ?omton. How did you live while you were there? As well as I could : sometimes I used to go to the Theatre, to try and do something—sometimes I took a bit here and sometimes there  Were you ever tried before ? I was. For what ? Prisoner— (Moving his head as if it was a matter of no consequence] —For the same concern. He was sentenced to transportation for 7 years. When his Worship  had pronounced the sentence prisoner replied “Thank you" with the same hardened indifference which  characterised his previous demeanour. Cork Constitution, 18 Dec 1830.
