Conduct Record. https://libraries.tas.gov.au/Digital/CON31-1-9/CON31-1-9P152 No 432. Thomas Duke, per Layton, Oct 1827. Tried 3 Apr 1826, 7 years. Transported for stealing a tin can. Gaolers report, A veryold offender, has been convicted of felony several times. Posecutor, W. Heely. Once for stealing great coat, one month; once 3 months for a bridle. I have 8 girls at present , all provided for at Sheffield, I was last in business as a painter at Sheffield, 5 years in 11th Lt Dragoons, married, 8 children, protestant.
