James Dunn was 17 years old on arrival in NSW. His occupation was a "Dock Labourer". He was single. 1834-36: Stole a horse from Mr Powell at Newcastle, then absconded from Mr Pringle's station at Jerry's Plains. 9/8/1836: James was tried at Sydney for Bushranging under arms and sentenced to transportation for life. 1836: Sent to Norfolk Island. 27/9/1844: Arrived VDL per Lady Franklin. James was then 28 years old, fresh complexion, brown hair, hazel eyes, tattoos, 5'4" tall and could read and write. Spent 2 years at Impression Bay. 15/10/1845: Emerged from gang. 25/11/1845: TOL 8/12/1848: TOL revoked for Larceny. 30/4/1852: TOL 13/6/1855: Absconded from Hobart Barracks. 24/3/1857: TOL 15/3/1859: Revoked. No date of death found.
