FURTHER CHARGES IN THE COLONY: 21/03/1840: Drunkeness- Fined 5s. 04/04/1865: Supreme Court Hobart - Larceny, as a servant. 3yrs imprisonment. Jan 1866: Rosanna and William (newspaper says husband, but maybe her son?) charged with wilful murder of Patrick Doran, by stabbing him during a fight at a Cressy Hotel. William found guilty. Death sentence but commuted to life in Colony. Rosanna not guilty.

Rosanna Dunn was convicted at Derby on 27/07/1846 for receiving stolen goods. Gaol Report: Good, no previous. 14yr sentence. Transported to Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania) on the 'Elizabeth & Henry', arriving 04/01/1847. Ship Surgeon's Report: very well behaved, industrious. Married to John Dunn. Stated on Conduct Record "husband John in London is coming to this Colony". 4 children on board with her. Children: William Dunn admitted to Queens Orphan School 08/01/1847 aged 3yrs. Discharged to mother (now on Ticket of Leave) 17/07/1854. Mother: Rosannah Dunn per 'Elizabeth & Henry'. Father: John Dunn Mary Ann Dunn admitted to Queens Orphan School 08/07/1847 aged 5yrs. Discharged to parents - mother on Ticket of Leave, father free. Mother: Rosannah Dunn Father: John Dunn Catherine Dunn admitted to Queens Orphan School 08/01/1847 aged 8yrs. Discharged 11/05/1853 to F. Martin, New Norfolk (most likely to employment). Mother: Rosannah Dunn per 'Elizabeth & Henry'. Father: John Dunn Rosanna: aged 40yrs; 5'1 1/4"; sallow complexion; black hair; grey eyes; native place- Co. Meath; married; reads; needlewoman; Roman Catholic. Probation: 6 months. Services: Vicary, Spring Bay. 22/05/1849: Application to bring out family - denied. 14/07/1851: Vicarys letter - amount of 7 pounds received as passage money for her husband to be sent to this Colony. 29/03/1853: Ticket of Leave 11/04/1854: Ticket of Leave revoked, absent from Muster. 22/08/1854: Ticket of Leave restored 24/06/1857: Application to bring out family - approved.
