Sent to Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania) per the ship 'Equestrian' arriving 16 Dec 1852. Aged 16yrs; a labourer; single man; Roman Catholic; can read & write; fair complexion; brown hair; grey eyes. Native place of birth: Bolton, England. Father: Michael Mother: Rosanna Sister: Rosanna Brothers: John & Edward (ref. family details as given on Convict Indent) Permitted to be a Pass Holder upon arrival in VDL. 18 Oct 1853: Ticket of Leave granted. 15 Jan 1856: Conditional Pardon approved.
