Ship Records, page 92 and 93 NSW 1839:- Convict No.39-1028, could read and write, Protestant, Widower with 4 children-2 boys, 2 girls, Native place:Belfast, Tried 10 April 1839, no former conviction, Height 5 feet 9 3/4, Complexion: fair and ruddy, light hair, brown eyes, lost a front tooth right side of upper jaw, scar on bridge of nose, small mole on lower right arm, scar on left thumb, another on ball of same, Certificate of Freedom:46 / 377 (numbers a bit unclear)
