She left London on the 26th December, and went to Kingston, when she took on board her prisoners, and left on the 24th January. There have been four deaths on board and three births, one infant still born. She did not touch any where and spoke no vessels for this place. Hobart Town Advertiser, 19 May 1848.

Etty DUNNE (DUNN) was convicted at Wicklow, Ireland on 22 Jun 1847 for stealing wool and mutton. 7 yr transportation sentence. Sent to Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania), Australia per the ship "John Calvin" arriving 18 May 1848. Ship Surgeon's Report: "an excellent woman" Aged 25 yrs; country servant; single woman; 5'2" height; dark complexion; black hair; dk brown eyes; Roman Catholic religion. Native place of birth: Wicklow, Ireland. Mother: Mary Brothers: James, Thomas, Patrick (in 98th Regiment), William, Tim (in 1st Royals) Colony of VDL: 6 mths Probation Period Station Gang: "Anson" hulk, stationed on the Derwent River, Hobart. Clear Conduct record 14 Jan 1850: Ticket of Leave granted. 7 July 1854: Free Certificate issued, at Swansea (east coast of Tasmania). APPLICATION FOR PERMISSION TO MARRY: 21 Aug 1849 Etty DUNNE ("John Calvin") to John WEBSTER ("Palmyra").
