Native place of birth - Co. Wicklow abt 1831. Aged 17yrs; Roman Catholic; farm labourer/shoe maker; single; 5'3 1/4". Brother Thomas Dunne also convicted of this offence and transported to VDL. Mother- Mary Brothers - Thomas, Tim, Patrick & William Sister - Elizabeth (also transported to VDL on the 'East London' 1843)




James Dunne was convicted at Co.Wicklow for sheep stealing (with his brother Thomas, also convicted and on board). 7yr sentence. Transported to Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania) on the 'Blenheim' arriving 1849.
