TRIAL: Lancaster Bolton Borough Quarter Sessions on 4 January 1844. ARRIVAL: On arrival in VDL, Ann DUTTON was single, from Bolton, and the ship's surgeon reported her to be in good health. She was 5'1½" tall with a sallow complexion, sandy hair and grey to blue eyes. DEATH: Ann DUTTON died on 28 July 1847 (see https://stors.tas.gov.au/CON41-1-3$init=CON41-1-3p31).

OCCUPATION: Milliner and dressmaker (as per her Conduct Record for VDL at https://stors.tas.gov.au/CON41-1-3$init=CON41-1-3p31). CRIME: Stealing boots, the property of Wm Hadfield - her third stealing conviction. The two previous were for stealing clothes (https://stors.tas.gov.au/CON41-1-3$init=CON41-1-3p31).

1847, 3 August: Anne DUTTON, 35, per Angelina – bond, Protestant – was buried in the grounds of the Prisoners’ Barracks, at Hobart, having been a patient in the General Hospital at Hobart. The ceremony was performed by Wm Hesketh (see https://librariestas.ent.sirsidynix.net.au/ Resource RGD34/1/2 no 1614).
