Convict Notes




Margaret Dwyer (or Wier) was convicted at Galway, Ireland on 26/07/1850 for stealing a sheet. Previous offences of stealing and also breaking windows. 10yr sentence. Transported to Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania) on the 'Blackfriar' arriving 29/05/1851. Stated her sister Ann Wier had also been transported to this Colony. Presumably on the 'Kinnear' 1848.
