The Convict Indentures state that Thomas Dwyer was 23 years old. He could read; religion Catholic, status single and a native of City Waterford. His trade was a labourer. He was convicted of stealing cloak at Tipperary on 27March 1828 and sentenced to seven years. He had no prior convictions. Physical attributes - Height 5 feet 4 inches; complexion ruddy freckled; hair dark brown and eyes dark hazel. Transport number 20. Assigned to Woolloomooloo Road Party. Received his Certificate of Freedom in 1835 (number 35/302).
