** SHIP - NEPTUNE ** Date of Conviction 12 Dec 1787 THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE OLD BAILEY JOHN DYER. Theft; grand larceny (to 1827). 12th December 1787. 58. JOHN DYER was indicted for stealing, on the 6th of December , two trusses of hay, value 2 s. the property of Samuel Marshall . The prisoner was taken jumping out of the hay loft, having thrown down two trusses of hay. GUILTY . Transported for seven years . Tried by the London Jury before Mr. RECORDER.
