22/9/1831 Devizes and Wiltshire Gazette Wiltshire, England: Committed the Old Bridewell, Devizes.— Job and Thomas Earl, for stealing two sacks and six bushels wheat, the property John Spencer at Bradford. Thomas Earl was listed as 24 years old on arrival. Have not found Job Earl. Previous convictions: Once for stealing a Watch again for stealing a Watch 6 months again for stealing Wood 2 months apples one month Thomas was 5'5" tall, florid complexion, brown hair, no whiskers, dark hazel eyes, single. 1832/33 Musters: Assigned to Mr. David Lord 1835 Muster: Assigned to Mr. J. Johnson. 11/11/1838: Was a Constable: Gross Misconduct and to be dismissed from the Police. 8/5/1843: TOL 6/3/1844: Permission to marry Hannah Wallace (free). No marriage registration found. 24/12/1844: Recommended for a CP 16/12/1845: CP approved. 17/8/1846: Passenger from George Town to Port Phillip per 'City of Sydney'. **This looks to be Thomas's death but cannot be sure. 18/12/1860: Thomas died at H.M. General Hospital, Hobart of 'Chronic Bronchitis and malignant disease of the stomach, aged 53 and listed as a 'Waterman'.
