William was baptised in the village of Tansor, Northamptonshire in November 1803.  He appears to have returned to the UK after he received an Unconditional Pardon in 1846.  He is on the census returns for 1861 and 1871 in Northamptonshire.  His death was registered in Peterborough in 1873
