Mark Eddy was transported on the Waterloo, departing 18th Dec 1830 and arriving 30th Apr 1831 with 200 passengers.
1829 - Waterloo's first voyage arrived at Sydney Cove 9 July 1829. 180 Male Convicts. 2 Died on voyage. 7 sent to the hospital on landing. Total mustered; 171. Stephen Addison - Commander Michael Goodsire - Surgeon Superintendent [His wife was a passenger] 1842 - The Waterloo voyage of 1842 was wrecked on 28/8/1842. 189 people drowned, these being 143 convicts, 15 men of the 99th Regiment, together with 17 wives and children, the boatswain Mr. Chiverton, the sailmaker, the carpenter and 11 of the crew. Convicts were then received in Cape Town Prison from the wreck of the Waterloo, 2nd September 1842. They then completed their voyage to VDL per “Cape Packet” which arrived on 23/11/1842.

HORRIBLE DEPRAVITY a man named Mark Eddy, a barber, who resides at No.8, Werburgh-street, was brought before the Magistrates of this office, on a charge of having grossly assaulted his own step-daughter, named Catharine White, a girl about 15 years of age. As the charge was positively sworn to, and as many corroborating circumstances were proved, the wretch was fully committed to abide his trial at the ensuing commission. Dublin Morning Register, 15 May 1830. Mark Eddy, the old man who had: been convicted of a rape on his step-daughter, a young girl not more than fifteen years of age, was sentenced to be hanged. Judge Vandeleur told this unfortunate man that he should not entertain the slightest hope. He was ordered for execution on the 26th inst. Tipperary Free Press, 10 Aug 1830
