At the Kerry Assizes, last week, Edward Orpen, Esq. a gentleman who had served for a great number years as a magistrate for the county of Kerry, was put upon his trial for wilful and corrupt perjury. He was found guilty, and sentenced to transportation for seven years. Perthshire Courrier 27 Aug 1824.
