Married Ann ? about 1815. Ann also convicted of the same crime, she was transported on "Lord Melville" 1816,with their son Edward (born in goal). Edward granted Certificate of Freedom (No 29/510) on 1st June 1829. He also had a Ticket of Leave (No 80/1161) dated 3rd March 1817. Edward & Ann had three children, Edward, Emma and James Ashton.
