William and Harriet had three children, Thomas 1808, William 1811 and Ann 1813. 1814 Muster: [Ref 6480 page 145] Harriet Edwards, Nile, Off Stores, 2 children, wife to William Blake.

In the colony, Harriet married William Blake (Came Free, 1800, "Speedy"). William had come to the colony as a servant of Governor King. "William Blake of the parish of St John Parramatta and Harriet Edward of ditto were married in this church by permission of His Excellency Governor King this twenty second day of January in the year one thousand eight hundred and seven by me Samuel Marsden. William and Harriet both signed their names in the register in the presence of James Lane and Charlotte B[illegible] who both also signed their names in the register"

Harriet was charged "with stealing a pair of silver tea-tongs, 6 gowns and sundry other articles, the property of John Wood and Mary his wife". Tried 24 March 1800 in Cornwall England. Sailed on the 'Nile' (Master james Sunter) which departed Spithead on 21 June 1801 and arrived Sydney 14 December 1801.
