Prisoner details: Aged 16 years. Court and date of trial: Warwick Epiphany Sessions, 1824. Crime: Larceny, together with Walter Egginton and Charles Bradford. Initial sentence: Seven years transportation. Gaoler's report: Bad character. Annotated (Outcome): Nil. Petitioner(s): John Foulks, the prisoner, undersigned by William Herbert, the prosecutor, Peter Wilbraham, the prisoner's employer, and 12 others, testifying to the prisoner's previous good character. Grounds for clemency (Petition Details): The prisoner is young and was led astray by 'wicked companions'; he is of previous good character and this is his first offence; requests imprisonment in Penitentiary.
