Crime: Stealing two saddles and other articles the property of John Bouvier. Initial sentence: Seven years transportation. Annotated (Outcome): Considered by Mr Peel 22 January 1822. Nil. Petitioner(s): Prisoner and 50 signatories. Grounds for clemency (Petition Details): Wholly innocent of crime; purchased the articles from George Short of Portsmouth; had no knowledge they were stolen; previous good character.
