Only one John Ellison embarked on the Albermarle. He was buried at sea. Therefore, I presume that he adopted one of his aliases and then took the name of the deceased person.

John married Sarah Watkins (Convict, Canada, 1810). They married October 7 1817 at Parramatta. John Ellinson, free, of the parish of Parramatta and Sarah Watkin were married in this church by banns this seventh day of October 1817 by me Samuel Marsden. John and Sarah both made their X marks in the register in the presence of John Bishop and Martha Bishop who also made their X marks. John and Sarah had a large family 10 born between 1811 and 1828.
