There is reference to the alias, George Hancock, in the Layton`s medical superintendent`s journal. George Epping married Georgianna Marshall in 1845 in Hobart. They had one son, born in Hobart, George William Epping. He travelled to Hokitika, New Zealand in 1874, where he died in 1888.
