At Sleaford, on Monday last, James Mason and Edward Irwin were fully committed for trial at the next sessions, charged with stealing seven stone of bacon from the premises of Mr. Jessup, of the Falcon, and a saddle and bridle, the property of Mr. Bardsley, of Holdingham. Stamford Mercury, 11 Sept 1829 Jas. Mason and Edward Erwin, both late of Sleaford, were found guilty of feloniously stealing a quantity of bacon and hams the property of Thos. Jessup, and sentenced to seven years’ transportation.—The said James Mason and Edward Erwin were farther found guilty of feloniously stealing a saddle and a bridle, the property of Robert Barsley, and sentenced to seven years’ transportation to be computed from the expiration of the former sentence. Stamford Mercury, 30 Oct 1829. … James Mason and Edward Erward, from Sleaford sessions; for 14 years each;  Stamford Mercury, 6 Nov 1829.
