He became a painter-glazier cordial manufacturer for George (Ranken) at Gloucester & later Bathurst. He was convicted of sheep stealing at Gloucester Assizes, sentenced to Life & arrived in NSW as a convict on 5 7 1835 after a voyage of 3.5months on MARQUIS OF HUNTLEY; he was literate Protestant 5.3.25" dark pale complexion brown hair grey eyes scars on back of left hand back top of left middle finger ball of left thumb left shin. He was issued his Ticket of leave on 8 9 1843 for Bathurst, He married Maria (Kefford) on 13/30 3 1848 at Bathurst & lived at William Bentinck & Durham Streets. He was issued his Conditional Pardon on 1 12 1848. He died on 23 3 1879 age about65 at Surry Hills & was buried at Baptist Rookwood Necropolis general cemetery Haslems Creek Sydney. Job Evans was 22 years old on arrival. Native Place: Gloucestershire. Job was literate, protestant, single, 5'3¼" tall, dark pale complexion, brown hair, grey eyes, scar back of left hand, scar on back top of middle finger of same, scar on ball of left thumb, scar on left shin. 8/9/1843: TOL Bathurst 1/11/1848: CP 13/3/1848: Married Maria Kefford at Bathurst, NSW. They had 10 children. 23/3/1879: Job Evans died at Surry Hills, NSW, aged 66 and was buried at Rookwood Cemetery, Sydney. Wife Maria died 1871, Bathurst, NSW, aged 41.
