Mary Evens/Evans 1803 - Old Bailey on-line Tried 20th April 1803. Age 37. Tried at Old Bailey, London. Accused of theft from a specified place (feloniously stealing, on the 8th of march, a silver watch, value 40s. two guineas, a seven-shilling-piece, two half-crowns, a pocket-handkerchief, value 6d. and a knife, value 2d. the property of James-stone Gibbs , in the dwelling-house of Ann Wilson). Found guilty, lesser offence. Sentenced to imprisonment in Newgate. Tried. 14th September 1803. Age 37. Est birth year; 1766 Tried at Old Bailey, London. Accused of pocketpicking (feloniously stealing, on the 21st of august, a silver watch, value 3l. a seven-shilling piece, three shillings, and a farthing, the property of Thomas smith , privily from his person). Found guilty, lesser offence. Sentenced to transportation.
