Assigned to Thomas Iceley at Carcoar. 1841: TOL Carcoar 25/10/1842: COF 22/8/1842: Married Catherine Coles at Scotts Church, Sydney. Catherine Coles arrived in May 1838 on the British Sovereign as a steerage passenger. They had 2 sons, John and Henry and a daughter Jane who died in infancy. About 1842 they moved south to be with Richard's Family. His father Richard Evans 1786-1876 and his mother Jane Peake 1794-1891 and 3 younger children arrived on 25/2/1841 at Port Phillip on the Georgiana. Richard later settled at Glenlyon, which is near Daylesford in Victoria, where he had a sawmill. His father had also had a sawmill in Little Bourke Street, Melbourne. Catherine died in 1869 after falling from a cart. In 1870 Richard married Violet Hennessy nee Henry, widow of Phillip Hennessey, with 3 children. They went on to have another 7 children from 1871-1886. 1901: Richard died at Glenlyon, Victoria.
