Brothers 1824. Tried Warwick Lent 1823, Life. Transported for Burglary, Gaol report- Not known. Ship report, Loose. Tried with Evans same offence. On the Town.




Susannah EVANS was convicted at Warwick in 1823 for burglary. Life sentence. Transported to Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania) per the ship 'Brothers' arriving 1824. Colony of VDL: 27 Nov 1824: disobedience of orders. Service of H. Jellico Esq. To be confined for a fortnight, on bread and water. Returned to Female Factory at George Town for 3mths. 19 March 1825: Married John Brooks, bachelor, at George Town, VDL. Susannah listed as a spinster & prisoner at George Town. (Ref. 36/1/1 no. 840)
