On Thursday arrived from Calcutta, via Derwent, the ship Mary, Captain Ormon, with a various cargo. -Passengers from Calcutta, Captain Faithfull and Lieutenant Hamilton:-The Mary sailed from Calcutta the 23d of February, and left the Pilot the 1st of March. 1825, 15 September: William EVANS – Certificate of Freedom #68/4287 – per Mary 1, 1819; native place Rathcormack; labourer and breeches maker; 60, 5’7”, sallow complexion, brown hair and blue eyes. General remarks: “Ticket of Leave 447/1381 returned and cancelled” (see NSW, Australia, Certificates of Freedom, 1810-1814, 1827-1867). 1825: William EVANS – free by servitude – Mary 1819, labourer Sydney (see NSW and Tasmania, Australia Convict Musters, 1806-1849, New South Wales General muster A-L 1825).


1819: William EVANS 54, 5’8”, dark sallow complexion, black hair, hazel eyes, native place Rathcormac, Cork (see NSW Convict Indents, 1788-1842; Bound Indentures 1818-1819).
