Thursday. (Before the mayor and J. Dockray, Esq.) Gavin Everdour, native of Scotland, was committed to Lancaster Castle for trial at the ensuing Quarter Sessions, charged with stealing new silver-watch, the property .Mr Wakefield, this town, watchmaker. It appeared from the evidence that the prisoner knocked his fist through square of glass the shop window, and took the watch.  Kendal Mercury, 16 Nov 1844.
