Everett Smith was tried March 4 1799 at Hertford. He was given a life sentence. Everett arrived in the colony on November 20 1800, transported on the Royal Admiral. Sometime later he formed a liaison with Sarah Edwards, (Convict, Indispensable 1809). The couple had a child Margaret who was born July 29 1810, but died only 8 weeks later, September 22 1810. After this the couple seem to have separated. Everett worked as a labourer for James Squires and then later for Thomas Small at Kissing point. He can be located on the 1811 Muster [Record: 5361], however, no further records are known No trace of further children or a marriage has been traced.
