Thomas Everitt was indicted for pocketpicking along with James Arthur (Bangalore) and William McDonald for stealing 1 purse, value 6d., 1 sovereign, 6 shillings and 1 groat from Elizabeth Watkins. Old Bailey records state that Thomas was 21 years old but on arrival in VDL in 1851 it states his age is 28 on arrival. It was Thomas's 1st conviction, he was 5'8 1/4" tall, reads and writes a little, single, catholic fair complexion, lt brown hair, blue eyes, lt brown eyebrows and a small scar on his chin. Thomas was from Spitalfields and his brothers were Benjamin, Edward, Robert and sisters were Sarah, Mary and Isabella. 12/8/1853: Degraves/ AWOL and scaling the wall of his Master's premises on his return at night - 9 months hard labour. 22/8/1854: Cotton/Insolence - Admonished. 11/10/1854 TOL 14/8/1855 CP.
