A silversmith and jeweller before his conviction for embezzling less the one pound in his role as the post master at Marlborough. On arrival he was assigned to the Trustees of the Clergy and Schools and appointed schoolmaster at the newly opened school at Sutton Forest. Granted a Pardon in 1836 he was in England by 1851 and died there in 1866.
