Convict Notes




Parents were Wilhelm Fahrland [c1772-1817], a German trumpeter with the First Royal Dragoons and Sarah Lecock[1776-1846]. She married John Weston[c1798-1868] in 1821 in Sydney and had at least 3 children - Harriet[1821-1869], John[1832-?] and William[1833-?]. She died in Sydney in 1852 and was buried in Camperdown Cemetery. Note that Harriet Church[1797-1823] who was convicted with her, died in Milbank Prison, London in 1823.




Mary Fahrland/Farland/Farrell was 19 years old on arrival in NSW. She was transported, along with Harriet Church(can't find her as a convict) for breaking into and robbing the house of Thomas Blake at Froyle. 2/3/1826: COF 30/5/1833: COF, Wife of John Weston per 'Lord Eldon' 1817. 1821: Married John Weston at St. Phillip's Sydney.
