John Fahey and Patrick Hagerty, for stealing 11 pair of bellows, and divers other goods, the property of Patrick Haley, Brush-maker. Patrick Haley was alarmed the night laid in the Indictment, by two watchmen, who called him out of bed, and told him he was robbed. The watchmen and prosecutor found the Bellows in Hagerty’s possession. In the course of the same morning, Isaac Martin, a Peace-Officer, assisted in apprehending the prisoner Falvey, on whose person a portion of the other articles were found. The Judge charged the Jury, who returned a verdict of Guilty, against Falvey, and acquitted Hagerty—The convicted person was sentenced to 7 years transportation. Southern Reporter, 25 Aug 1827.
