Owen Fannon for waylaying and assaulting Edward Sinclair  near Belturbet; for putting him in dread of his life.; and taking from his person a pistol, value ten shillings - Sentence of death recorded ; but in consequence of his previous good character, sentence commuted  to transportation for life. Dublin Morning Register, 26 July 1828
