Tried Port Louis Assizes, 29 June 1840, 7 years. Native place, Plein Willener(?) Port Louis. Married. Religion , R.C., can read. Transported for Theft. Stated this offence, stealing a tin box containing 800 Dollars? The property of my Godmother. Per Eleanor, arr. 23 April 1841. My wife & relations at Port Louis. -------------------------------------------------------------------- CONVICT DEPARTMENT. Comptroller-General's Office, Oct. 24, 1844. The Lieutenant-Governor has been pleased to grant Tickets-of-leave to the undermentioned convicts:- Eleanor. Daniel Lear; Edward Rose ; Julien Farascon; - Dowman. Colonial Times, 29 Oct 1844.
