Convict Notes

Fardy or Vardy Logue is missing from NSW 1828 Census. He may have taken on a new identity. His Irish wife, Anne Harken, accused him of entering a bigamous marriage in NSW and fathering two children to Nancy. No evidence of this. Similarly Fardy's friends accused Anne of entering a new marriage in Ireland. It appears, however, that Anne emigrated with Fardy's brother Michael and children, per Bee in 1856. If this is accurate, it was a 40 year reunion, but shortlived because Anne died at Camden in the same year. See my upcoming book on Irish bigamous marriages.
